My research interests are in using spectroscopic and imaging observations for studying the evolution of galaxies and associated structures. The work that I am involved in, which has now become my doctoral disseration, is an understanding of high metallicity environments outside of galaxies. I study a certain class of quasar absorption line systems, known as weak MgII systems, as an example of this. These systems possess several remarkable chemical and physical properties which make their investigation interesting.

My work is part of the larger efforts within the QAL research group at Penn State. Visit the group's website (slightly outdated) to learn more about the areas of research.
