[Davey Lab] Penn State University has over 20 campuses across the state. The main University Park campus is located in the borough of State College, which is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains near the geographical center of Pennsylvania. The Department of Astronomy & Astrophysics is located on the 4th and 5th floors of Davey Lab (shown here), with the department office in room 525 Davey Lab. The X-ray Astronomy Group Office is located in room 428 Davey Lab. Office staff in either location can help you locate faculty offices.

Getting here:

Parking:

Parking on campus is limited, and there is no visitor parking available at Davey Lab. There are several nearby parking options available, each with advantages and disadvantages.

Lodging:

State College has a variety of motels and hotels ranging from budget to elegant. Most department visitors stay at one of the following: Be aware that hotel accomodations in State College during football weekends are nearly impossible to come by and are very expensive.

Restaurants:

The PSU Hetzel Union Building is across the street from Davey Lab and has a variety of restaurants ranging from a hamburger joint to a nice cafe. There are also many restaurants located within a few blocks of Davey Lab in downtown State College.
