Pegasus buildup
Closeup of the Pegasus 3rd stage just before mating the HETE
satellite. HETE mates to the ring on the right side of the
3rd stage. A cylindrical adapted is then mounted over HETE,
and the conical adapter in the lower foreground is attached
to the cylinder. SAC-B attaches to the ring on the narrow
end of the conical adapter.
