If memory errors are found in the ICP Memory Self-Tests that are run during bootup, the bad addresses are written into Auxiliary RAM and into Science Data RAM for transmission to the ground. The data format of the Memory Defect Table is given in Table 38.
This table will contain a header followed by a series of Memory Defect Records (MDR), with one MDR per defective 16 bit word encountered during the memory tests.
Each MDR gives the Virtual Address of the detected error, together with the data value written to memory and the value read from memory. The Virtual Addresses map each memory location in CUBIC into a unique address, as specified by Table 39.
