SAC-B Brochure

This full-color brochure was prepared by the Argentine space agency, CONAE, and explains the design, operations, instruments, and scientific mission of the SAC-B satellite. To see any page, click on its image below. This page shows the front cover of the brochure, featuring an artist's conception of the satellite observing solar flares. Page 1 discusses the scientic mission of the satellite, and includes brief descriptions and exploded views of the four instruments. Page 2 discusses the ground station and more details about the solar flare and gamma ray burst instrument goals. Page 3 gives details about the CUBIC and ISENA instrument goals (diffuse X-ray background spectroscopy and neutral particle imaging, respectively). Page 4 gives an exploded view of the satellite and discusses details about its subsystems and capabilities. The back cover explains the international collaborations involved in this mission.
