Anna studies the oboe with Mr. Tim Hurtz of Penn State University. She plays first oboe in the State College High School Band, Symphonic Band and Orchestra. She has attended the District and Regional Orchestra, and the District Regional and State Band Festivals. She also plays percussion in the Central Pennsylvania Youth Orchestra under the direction of Mr. Alex Hill. She participated in the Phyllis Triolo Young Musicians competition in May, 1996, and the State College Presbyterian Church production of `Amahl and the Night Visitors'. During football season she marches with the State College High School Marching Band as a percussionist.
Anna also competed in the Centre County Outstanding Young Woman program (formerly Junior Miss of PA), and finished as the second runner-up. She won scholarships in this competition for outstanding performance and academic achievement.
