WelcomeThe Penn State numerical relativity group was established to explore the computational aspects of General Relativity and its applications to Cosmology, Astrophysics, and Gravitational-Wave Physics. The group members are affiliated with the Departments of Astronomy & Astrophysics, Mathematics, and Physics under the Institute for Gravitational Physics and Geometry (IGPG) and Center for Gravitational Wave Physics (CGWP). Activities of the group are supported in part by the National Science Foundation. Our work, in short, concerns itself with attempting, numerically, to find solutions to the Einstein field equations of General Relativity.
